Stool.  Ethiopia

Ethiopia has been a Christian nation since the fourth century AD. While Christian heritage has a predominant impact on most of the art in this country, some non Christian groups maintain traditions close to the other parts of East Africa. Stools represent one of the most important art forms in Africa. They connote succession of chiefs, status and power.
